VA-BC exam requirements & cost
Straight from the certifying body — separate from what we charge for the study portal.
The Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC), administered by the Vascular Access Certification Corporation (VACC), requires candidates to have vascular access clinical experience and to attest that they meet VACC's education and practice requirements, which are subject to verification by VACC. The exam fee is $375 for Association for Vascular Access (AVA) members and $475 for non-members, with an early-registration discount available during set application windows (September 1-20 for the December exam, March 1-20 for the June exam). The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, of which 125 count toward the final score, administered over a 2.5-hour time limit — plus a separate 15-minute tutorial beforehand and a 15-minute survey afterward that don't count against testing time.
