BCOP exam requirements & cost
Straight from the certifying body — separate from what we charge for the study portal.
To sit for the BCOP exam, candidates must hold a PharmD (or equivalent) degree from an ACPE-accredited program and possess a current, active pharmacist license. Eligibility further requires one of three practice pathways: four years of post-licensure practice with at least 50% of time spent in oncology pharmacy, a PGY1 residency plus two additional qualifying years of oncology-focused practice, or completion of a PGY2 residency in oncology pharmacy. The first-time application fee is $600 USD, with a reduced $300 USD retake fee available to candidates who failed the exam within the past year. The exam itself consists of 150 multiple-choice items (125 scored, 25 unscored pretest items) administered over 3 hours and 45 minutes.
