Terms & Refund Policy
Who you're buying from. SummitCert Publications ("we," "us") is an independent, digital-first publisher of certification exam study materials. "SummitCert Publications" is our trading name; these Terms govern every purchase made through this website regardless of the specific legal entity processing it at any given time. Contact us if you need our current registration details for your own records.
What you're buying. Access to a digital study portal and/or related practice materials published by SummitCert Publications. Access is delivered as a code and/or link sent to the email you provide at checkout.
Lifetime access, one-time purchase. Portal Access is a single, one-time purchase — there is no subscription and no renewal fee, ever. "Lifetime" means your access does not expire on its own and is not tied to any recurring payment. It remains subject to these Terms for as long as you hold it: it can be revoked if the purchase behind it is refunded or reversed (see "Access after a refund" below), or disabled where fair use is clearly being abused (see "Fair use" below). We also can't guarantee that a given portal's underlying exam content will never need to be retired if the certification itself is discontinued by its certifying body — in that unlikely event we'll aim to offer a reasonable alternative rather than simply cutting off access.
One access code can unlock more than one resource. Depending on what you purchase, a single access code may grant entry to more than one study resource (for example, a bundle), and some optional add-ons are issued their own separate code. Either way, each code only ever unlocks what you actually paid for.
Add-ons (Extra Mock Exam / Higher-Difficulty Tier / Digital Flashcards). These are optional, standalone purchases — they do not include or require Portal Access. Each is custom content prepared specifically for your order and delivered as its own unique link and access code, separate from any portal. You may purchase any add-on as many times as you like; every order comes with a new batch, different from the one you previously purchased. Because each is prepared specifically for your order, add-ons are non-refundable once delivered.
Delivery. After your order and payment are confirmed, your access code and/or link is sent to your email. Portal Access codes usually arrive within minutes. Custom add-ons are delivered instantly when a ready-made set is available for your order; if one has to be freshly prepared, it's delivered within 24 hours. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
Preview access. We may, at our sole discretion, sometimes grant a short, time-limited preview of a portal instead of full access. The conditions for whether and when a preview is offered are determined solely by us and are not published — a preview is never guaranteed or owed to any visitor or purchase attempt. A preview is not a purchase, is not "lifetime access," expires automatically after a limited window, and does not carry over any of the rights or refund terms described elsewhere in these Terms. If you go on to actually purchase the product, your real Portal Access replaces the preview under the normal terms above.
Personal, non-transferable access. Purchasing a product grants you a personal, non-transferable right to access that specific study resource for your own study use, under these Terms. It is a license to use the content, not a transfer of ownership of it or of the underlying software. Access codes and bonus content links/codes are for the personal study use of the purchaser only. Do not share, publish, resell, or post your code publicly, and do not attempt mass or automated access. We may monitor for unusual or excessive use of a single code and may disable access without refund where fair use is clearly being abused — we do this based on actual evidence of misuse (e.g. simultaneous use far beyond one person, or a code posted publicly), not arbitrarily.
Because access is digital and delivered directly to the email you provide, refunds are not automatic and are not guaranteed simply because one is requested.
Before approving any refund, we verify from our end that (a) the access code/link was successfully delivered to the email provided, (b) the code itself is valid and functions correctly, and (c) whether the code has actually been activated (first successful login) — we keep an objective, timestamped record of this for every code, separate from whether it was merely delivered.

Something on our end didn't work: if the code was never delivered, or is invalid/doesn't function, that's a delivery problem, not a reason to refund — we fix it (re-send the code, regenerate it, whatever's actually wrong) and get you in. This step always comes first, before anything below, and never activating simply because access was genuinely broken is never held against you.

Delivered, working, but never activated: if our records show the code was delivered and works, but you simply haven't used it to log in, a refund is straightforward — you haven't yet accessed any of the content, so nothing has been consumed. This is also the legal line most consumer-protection regimes draw for digital content: the right to change your mind ends once you've begun actually accessing what you bought, not merely once it's been made available to you.

Activated, but only briefly: a first login within roughly the last 15 minutes before your request — the kind of thing that happens checking you're in the right place, or realizing right away you bought the wrong exam — is treated the same as never activated, not held against you.

Genuinely used: once there's real, meaningful use on record, a refund will not be issued as a matter of course — instead we'll help you get the most out of what you bought (for example, re-sending a code to the correct address, or pointing you to the right content if something feels missing). We understand real situations exist even here (a genuine technical failure that made the content itself unusable, a confirmed duplicate purchase, or similar) — tell us what happened and we'll look at it directly, honestly, case by case.
- •Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase, with your order email and a real reason for the request, through the Contact & Support form — we can't evaluate a request fairly without knowing why.
- •Custom add-ons (see above) are non-refundable once delivered.
- •Printed books purchased on Amazon are covered by Amazon's own return policy, not this one — please use Amazon's return process for physical book issues.
- •Card payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (Gumroad or Flutterwave), which may independently authorize a refund or reverse a charge under its own policies — separately from, and regardless of, the window above.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited by these Terms. Where mandatory local law gives you a stronger right than the window above, that law controls.
Access after a refund. If a refund or payment reversal for a purchase is approved and becomes final, the access it funded may be revoked. A full refund of an order can revoke every product that order funded. A partial refund only ever affects the specific product(s) the refunded amount was actually for — it does not remove access to other, unrelated products you validly purchased on the same code or in the same order.
Tax included in a refund. Where VAT, GST or a similar tax was charged on a purchase processed by a merchant of record (such as Gumroad), that provider's refund process returns the tax together with the refunded amount. Where we collected the tax ourselves on a direct purchase, a full refund returns that tax in full and a partial refund returns a proportional share of it — tax is always refunded together with the price it was charged on.
Processing fees. We do not deduct a processing or platform fee from the amount refunded to you. Payment processors typically do not return their own transaction/platform fees to us as the seller when we issue a refund — that is a cost we absorb, not something taken out of your refund.
Chargebacks and payment disputes. If you believe something is wrong with an order, please contact us first through the Contact & Support form — most issues are resolved faster this way than through a bank or card dispute. If a payment is ultimately reversed through a chargeback or processor-decided dispute against us, the access it funded may be revoked, the same as an approved refund. This isn't a threat and doesn't affect your right to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer where you believe that's warranted — it simply reflects that access was tied to payment actually being received.
Payments. Card payments are handled by a third-party payment provider — currently Gumroad or Flutterwave. Prices are in US dollars, and you enter your card details on the provider's own secure payment page, never on ours. On a direct purchase (for example through Flutterwave), the amount charged is the "Total due" shown in our checkout summary, including any tax we are required to collect, and you are returned to our site afterwards. Where Gumroad processes your purchase, Gumroad acts as the merchant of record and its checkout shows the final amount, including any tax it collects. Processor fees are paid by us and are never added to your total. Your bank may apply its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fee if your card is not in US dollars. The provider shown to you may vary by country/region; this affects only who processes the payment, never the price of the product. We never see or store your full card details.
VAT. Our product prices are shown before any VAT, GST or similar indirect tax (together called "VAT" here). Who calculates and collects that tax depends on how your purchase is processed. Where a merchant of record such as Gumroad processes your purchase, that provider is responsible for determining, collecting and remitting any applicable tax, and may add it at its checkout. Where we process a purchase directly and we are legally required to collect VAT for the customer's location, the applicable VAT is calculated and shown as its own line — with the rate and country — before you pay, and it is included in the "Total due". To decide where a customer is located for tax purposes we use location evidence gathered at checkout — primarily the country indicated by your internet connection (IP address), supported by the country you select and, where available, the country of your card. Discounts and promotional codes reduce the price before tax, so any tax is calculated on the discounted amount. Tax we collect is held for, and paid to, the relevant tax authority; it is never part of our revenue. The tax shown on your checkout summary or receipt is the tax that applies to your order.
Checkout price. The amount shown at checkout is generated automatically from your cart and reflects the correct total for the items you selected. On some payment pages this amount may appear in an editable field. Either way, we will not automatically fulfill an order whose payment does not match its cart:
- •Paid less than the cart total: your order is held for review; at our discretion we will either request the remaining balance before delivering everything you ordered, or reach out about what can be delivered for the amount actually received. Deliberately underpaying to obtain content you have not paid for is not permitted and may result in your order being cancelled and refunded.
- •Paid more than the cart total: your order is likewise held rather than auto-fulfilled; we will either refund the excess or, if you'd prefer, agree with you on additional products to add to your order so it accurately matches what you paid.
Translated study content. On portals where a study-language option is offered, translated questions, terms, and formulas are a comprehension aid generated to help you study in your own language — not the official exam content or language. Certification exams are administered in the language set by their certifying body (typically English), regardless of any study language you select here.
No affiliation / no guarantee. SummitCert Publications is an independent study-resource publisher and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any certifying body or exam board. We do not guarantee any exam result, but we do believe thorough use of our materials meaningfully increases your odds of success. Our materials are carefully developed study aids, not the official exam questions or content.
Study-Confidence Council disclaimer. The Council offers encouragement and a calmer frame of mind — Council members are supportive listeners, not licensed professionals, tutors, or exam coaches. Nothing here is professional, legal, medical, or exam-board advice. Always rely on your official exam materials and qualified professionals.
Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SummitCert Publications is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our materials or services, including exam outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that specific product. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Eligibility. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is older, to purchase from us.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by applicable law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your own country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement — where those mandatory rights are stronger than what's stated here, they control.
Changes to these terms. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
