Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator exam requirements & cost

The Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator exam is Salesforce's entry-level administrator credential. Salesforce lists no prerequisites, so anyone can register. The exam has 60 scored questions plus up to five unscored questions, gives you 105 minutes, and the passing score is 68 percent for the English version. The registration fee is US$200 plus applicable taxes and the retake fee is US$100 plus applicable taxes. Salesforce refreshed the exam effective December 15, 2025: it added an Agentforce AI section and rebalanced the other sections, which are now Configuration and Setup (15%), Object Manager and Lightning App Builder (15%), Sales and Marketing Applications (10%), Service and Support Applications (10%), Productivity and Collaboration (10%), Data and Analytics Management (17%), Automation (15%) and Agentforce AI (8%). Salesforce's exam guide aligns the exam to its Summer '25 release, so confirm the current guide on Salesforce's help site and Trailhead before you register.
