CIA Part 3 exam requirements & cost

CIA Part 3 (Business Knowledge for Internal Auditing) eligibility is shared across the entire three-part CIA program, not set separately per part: candidates need a bachelor's degree plus two years of internal audit experience (or a master's degree plus one year, among other qualifying pathways), a signed character reference attesting to professional conduct, and proof of identification, all submitted through The IIA's certification system. The CIA program application fee is $120 for IIA members and $240 for non-members, and the Part 3 exam fee itself is $280 for members and $415 for non-members. Part 3 consists of 100 multiple-choice questions administered over a 2-hour (120-minute) time limit, covering Business Acumen (35%), Information Security (25%), Information Technology (20%), and Financial Management (20%).
