CCEP exam requirements & cost
Straight from the certifying body — separate from what we charge for the study portal.
The Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) exam is administered by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), the certifying arm of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE). Before applying, candidates must demonstrate at least 1 year in a full-time compliance position, or 1,500 hours of direct compliance job duties completed within the 2 years before applying, with duties tied to CCB's own Detailed Content Outline — CCB staff don't verify this for you, candidates self-attest and are responsible for it being accurate. Separately, candidates must earn and submit 20 CCB-approved continuing education units (CEUs) before applying. Completing a certificate program from a CCB-accredited university within the last 2 years waives the work-experience requirement (not the CEUs), but the exam must then be taken within 12 months of finishing that program. The registration fee is $399 for SCCE members and $499 for non-members — no SCCE membership is required at any point to apply, maintain, or renew the CCEP credential. On exam day, candidates get 2 hours for 115 multiple-choice questions, of which only 100 are scored (the other 15 are unscored pretest items mixed in undetectably); the exam is offered in English only.
