The CDFM candidate handbook (v26.05.01) and the 2024 exam blueprints describe three modules, each passed separately within a 2-year window. SDFM reports pass or fail per module and does not publish a numeric cut score; a candidate who fails receives sub-domain percent-correct information. The portal mock combines the questions of all three modules, 240 questions in 360 minutes; the real modules are taken separately. SDFM sets the cut score for each module through a standard-setting committee and does not publish it; the percent score in the portal mock is only a self-check. SDFM sets the application and module fees; confirm the current amounts in the CDFM candidate handbook before you apply. The content outline spreads questions across 12 areas; the largest are Defense Budget Process (Module 2) (14.6%); Accounting (Module 3) (13.3%); Government Resource Management Environment (Module 1) (11.7%).
