ASIS PSP exam requirements & cost

The PSP (Physical Security Professional) credential is administered by ASIS International, and eligibility is based on years of physical security field experience, with the exact requirement varying by the applicant's education level (generally 3-5 years). Applicants must also agree to abide by the policies outlined in ASIS's Certification Handbook. The application fee is $580 for ASIS members and $910 for nonmembers, of which $160 is a non-refundable processing portion regardless of outcome; a flat $480 fee applies to retake attempts. The exam itself is a 2.5-hour, 140-question computer-based test (125 scored, 15 unscored pretest items) administered at a test center or via remote proctoring, requiring a minimum scaled score of 650 to pass. Content is weighted across three domains: Physical Security Assessment (34%), Application, Design & Integration of Physical Security Systems (35%), and Implementation of Physical Security Measures (31%).
