200 multiple-choice questions in two hours · Listening 100 questions in about 45 minutes · Reading 100 questions in 75 minutes · scaled scores, no pass or fail

ETS describes the TOEIC Listening and Reading test as a two-hour multiple-choice test of 200 questions in two sections: Listening, 100 questions in about 45 minutes with each recording heard once, and Reading, 100 questions in 75 minutes. The portal mock uses 200 questions in 120 minutes. The Listening section has Part 1 Photographs (6 questions), Part 2 Question-Response (25), Part 3 Conversations (39) and Part 4 Talks (30); the Reading section has Part 5 Incomplete Sentences (30), Part 6 Text Completion (16) and Part 7 Reading Comprehension (single passages 29, multiple passages 25). Each section is scored from 5 to 495 and the total from 10 to 990. ETS does not publish how correct answers convert to scores, there is no penalty for wrong answers and there is no pass or fail result: employers and institutions set their own target scores. The TOEIC Listening and Reading test has no pass mark: ETS reports a scaled score of 5 to 495 for each section and 10 to 990 in total, and organizations choose their own target scores. The portal mock shows a percent score only as a rough self-check. ETS does not set one worldwide price: the fee is set by the local TOEIC program partner in your country, so check the partner when you register. The content outline spreads questions across 8 areas; the largest are Part 3: Conversations (19.5%); Part 4: Talks (15.0%); Part 5: Incomplete Sentences (15.0%). The full list of areas and weights is on the portal exam page. Registration, identification and any local rules are handled by ETS or your country’s TOEIC program partner; confirm them when you register. The portal is a practice set: the listening parts are written descriptions of the recordings, so it cannot train your ear, and it does not predict your TOEIC score.
