Free Ohio Real Estate Salesperson Flashcards

Real property is the land itself, everything permanently attached to it such as buildings, and the legal rights of ownership that come with the parcel. Loose, movable items like a freestanding tractor or furniture are personal property, so they stay with the seller unless the contract lists them. The difference matters because real property transfers by deed, while personal property transfers by bill of sale.
