The Ohio real estate salesperson examination has a national portion of 80 scored multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes and an Ohio state portion of 40 scored questions in 60 minutes; 5 to 10 unscored experimental items may be added (PSI candidate bulletin). You must pass both portions within the 12-month period listed on your bulletin; the passing score is 70 percent on each portion, which is 56 of 80 and 28 of 40. This portal's mock exam has 120 questions covering both portions, with the national portion weighted as on the official outline. You need 70 percent on each portion: 56 of 80 on the national portion and 28 of 40 on the Ohio portion. Both portions must be passed within the 12-month eligibility period. The Division lists an $81 salesperson examination application fee; the PSI bulletin lists examination fees of $43, $46 and $66 depending on whether you take one portion or both together. PSI fees are not refundable or transferable. The content outline spreads questions across 15 areas; the largest are State Portion: License Law and Rules of the Ohio Real Estate Commission (13.3%); National Portion: Contracts (12.5%); State Portion: Brokerage Relationships (Agency Law) (11.7%). You must be at least 18, a U.S. citizen or legal alien, honest and truthful, without a disqualifying conviction, and have completed the pre-license education (100 hours: 40 Real Estate Principles and Practices, 40 Ohio Real Estate Law, 10 Appraisal, 10 Finance) before the Division approves you to schedule.
