Free NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Core Exam Flashcards

The operator should ask for compaction test records, a soil analysis or a geotechnical report. OSHA expects the controlling entity to pass on documented hazards beneath the set-up area, and soil analyses are named as such documents. A written bearing value lets the crew compare pad pressure with the soil rating, which beats judging the ground by how firm it feels underfoot.
