The MPRE has 60 multiple-choice questions: 50 are scored and 10 are unscored pretest questions that look like the others, so you should answer all of them; no points are subtracted for wrong answers (NCBE). You have two hours, and scores are reported on a scale from 50 to 150; scores are equated, so there is no fixed percent correct (NCBE). Each jurisdiction sets its own passing score, and NCBE typically releases scores within five weeks of the test date (NCBE). There is no national passing score: each jurisdiction sets its own on the 50 to 150 scale. The portal mock shows 70 percent only as a self-check. NCBE lists the test fee at $185 for all 2026 and 2027 administrations; rescheduling costs $25.
