Why it matters

Who this exam is for

Park and recreation staff, program coordinators and supervisors who meet the NRPA education and experience pathways.

Pass rate

The certifying body does not publicly publish an official pass rate for this exam. Be wary of third-party sites citing a specific number here — treat any pass-rate claim you see elsewhere for this exam as unverified.

If you don't pass — retake policy

The NRPA exam page says that if you did not pass, or your CPRP certification is expiring, you can apply for the CPRP exam only; it does not state a waiting period, so contact certification@nrpa.org before you rebook.

How it's scored

NRPA does not publish the CPRP passing score: an expert committee sets it and results are reported by content area. The portal mock shows 70 percent only as a self-check. Format: 150 four-option questions in 180 minutes, with 25 unscored pretest questions. No official pass rate is available for this exam, so none is quoted here.
